Position Description Summary:

As part of the Solutions and Execution Standards (SES) organization, the Senior Industrial Engineer role will be responsible for providing engineering services for Region Americas Contract Logistics business unit, for defining and deploying execution standards and product methods across all verticals, for driving Lean practice into operations, and providing mentorship to Services Engineering and Field Quality teams.


Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

  • Technical Industrial Engineering Acumen: data analytics, statistical process control, sensitivity analysis, sampling, simulation
  • Process Design & Optimization: process design & documentation, slotting, ABC analysis, sequencing, scheduling, capacity planning, IT collaboration
  • Engineered Labor Modeling: time/motion studies, predetermined time systems, fatigue factors, productivity, staffing plan
  • Facility Layout & Design: warehouse design standards, storage analysis, storage medium specification, automation-mechanization, WCS-WMS processes
  • MHE Specification: MHE specifications and standards, vendor engagement, specifications, standards, automation
  • Lean Six Sigma: DMAIC methodology, A3, value stream mapping, Kaizen events
  • Manufacturing: forecasting, MRP/DRP, S&OP, inventory management, cell design, takt times
  • Supply Chain Modeling: Transportation modeling, network optimization, CoG study

Essential Functions:

Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.


Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Travel of 30-50% depending on project requirements


  • Minimum 1 3 years professional experience; Minimum one (1) year work history as an Industrial Engineer
  • Experience in Hi-tech/Electronics, Consumer, Retail, and/or Aerospace Industry Verticals
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • 3PL experience and work history a plus
  • Lean certifications a plus. APICS certifications a plus (CPIM, CSCP)
