Title: Compliance Manager

Tasks & Responsibilities:  Elements of the Compliance

 

  • Management System (CMS); General Tasks and responsibilities; initiate implementation of the Compliance Management
  • Internal Standards and Policies;  System on local level and support Local Management; Support development of additional regional compliance policies and processes and develop additional compliance policies and processes on country level
  • Communication and implementation policies and process on country level
  • Advisory Function: giving advice for employees, superiors, executives, country operations and functions on compliance related matters
  • Compliance Risk Assessment; support and assist Country CEO with risk assessment according to risk assessment process
  • Customer Compliance, answer local customer compliance requests
  • Subcontractor Compliance: compliance risk assessment of subcontractors in scope of this SOP; promotion of whistleblower hotline and encouragement of potential whistleblowers
  • Administration of cases of local importance and steering of investigations by external parties or DB Security
  • Compliance Reporting; coordination and consultation with local HR functions; quarterly conducting of compliance reporting
  • Communication and Training; alert RCM in case of ad hoc compliance issues; communication of compliance related matters to the employees on local level
  • Development of additional compliance trainings on local level where necessary
  • Support local management in conducting face-to-face trainings
  • Compliance Monitoring; monitoring of implementation and operation of compliance processes on local level ensuring correction action where necessary
  • Inform local management and Regional Compliance Management about identified weaknesses and countermeasures
  • Information of local management upon detection of weaknesses
  • Disciplinary Action;  Information and consultation with Regional Compliance; Management and responsible HR

Tasks & responsibilities: Elements of compliance Network Partners Program Americas

  • Compliance environment assessment:  assessment of the "Compliance environment (including CPI) before the commencement of the operations with the partner
  • Compliance Due Diligence:  review of the compliance questionnaire completed by the partner
  • Compliance Monitoring:  development of a monitoring process and implementation (including regular trainings and visits in the country).

 

The Compliance manager reports to the CEO and functionally to the Regional Compliance Director. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required. 30 to 50% travel required.  Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. At least 2-4 years of compliance, legal, or audit experience required, preferably in the freight-forwarding industry.
